After four days of trial in Wausau, Wisconsin, Attorney Sean Gaynor and Danny Noonan, with the assistance of paralegal Alexis Thompson, obtained a verdict in favor of their client, an orthopedic hand surgeon in a case where the patient alleged medical malpractice stemming from a carpal tunnel release surgery. The patient claimed that a nerve was transected in her hand during a carpal tunnel release surgery that was not timely discovered nor repaired, leaving her with limited movement and mobility to aspects of her wrist, fingers, hand and thumb. LKG retained prominent experts in the field of orthopedic hand surgery and electrodiagnostic medicine that proved the doctor fully complied with the standard of care and was not causal of any of the alleged injuries. The jury agreed. This is Attorney Gaynor’s third successful trial defense against medical malpractice allegations this year.
